Save your credentials safely

Since there is no password recovery without Tox, losing your password means losing access permanently. Here is how to keep them safe:

  • Use a password manager (e.g. Bitwarden, KeePassXC) — store both username and password
  • Write them on paper and keep it in a safe place — offline is safest
  • Never save them in plain text on your device or in cloud notes
  • Do not share them with anyone, ever
